Tex Hill Middle School Band

Last but certainly not least, we have to talk about our final event of the school year—our annual Awards Concert on May 19th! 🎷Every single one of our groups—Beginning Band, Beginning Honors Band, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Honors Band—put on absolutely wonderful performances to close out the year. 🎶

It was incredible seeing all the trophies and awards we accumulated from the entire year on display for our families and community to see. 🏆 We also got to hand out individual awards for our Outstanding Band Members, as well as medals for all the students who earned superior ratings at Solo and Ensemble! 🥇 What an awesome way to end such a memorable school year with this amazing group of kids. Thank you parents, students, and community members for making this year a massive success! ❤️

We are back with day two of our end-of-year recaps, and today is all about our amazing beginners! 🎺

On May 15th, we took both the Beginning Band and the Beginning Honors Band to Texas Lutheran University for the BANDFest Competition. The judges were absolutely blown away by how mature and musical our youngest Tigers sounded on stage.

Both bands walked away with Outstanding Performance awards, which is a massive achievement for their very first festival! After crushing it on stage, we headed straight to Main Event for some well-deserved pizza, bowling, and arcade fun. 🍕🕹️

Watching these students grow from making their very first sounds in August to winning awards in May has been so rewarding. Thank you parents and community for supporting these young musicians all year long! ❤️

For the second half of our Advanced Band Trip we headed straight to Funtrackers for the ultimate victory celebration! 🏎️🕹️

These kids work hard AND play hard! From arcade games to mini-golf, seeing our laser-focused musicians turn into competitive drivers this trip was definitely a highlight of the year! ⛳️🏎️💨

They earned every single second of it after putting on such incredible performances on stage! This trip was the perfect snapshot of what has been an absolutely wonderful year in the Tex Hill Band program. 🎷🎼

As the school year comes to an end, here are some good highlights and celebrations from this past month STARTING WITH our Advanced Band Trip to Corpus Christi back on May 8th! 🌊🎉

Our Advanced Bands absolutely swept the festival, and the trophy shelf is officially looking very crowded. All three of our advanced groups—Concert, Symphonic, and Honors—earned straight 1st Division ratings from the judges and took home Outstanding Performance awards.

On top of that, both Symphonic and Honors won Best in Class for their Non-Varsity and Varsity divisions. To put the absolute icing on the cake, our Honors Band won Overall Best in Festival!

We are incredibly proud of the hours of focus and dedication these students poured into this music. Thank you to our amazing parents and community for being the ultimate support system and helping us get across the finish line! Stay tuned for Part 2 to see how we celebrated!

Huge news from our UIL evaluation this past Thursday and Friday! 🎶

We are beyond excited to announce that all three of our advanced bands—Concert, Symphonic, and Honors—earned Sweepstakes, straight 1’s, from every single judge on stage and in the sight reading room. Bringing home a superior rating from every judge is a huge accomplishment, and it was so rewarding to see that hard work pay off across the board! ✨

This year was extra special because it was the first time in Tex Hill history that our Concert Band has ever competed at UIL. For them to walk away with a Sweepstakes win on their very first UIL is absolutely outstanding and speaks volumes about their dedication. What a phenomenal way to make school history! 🏆

We had such a blast at our annual Tex Hill Band Party! 🥳 It was the perfect way to celebrate all the hard work everyone has put in and kick off the break. Check out these highlights of our students having a great time!
