This observance dates back to the anniversary of the Great Chicago Fire in 1871 and has been marked every October since 1922, making it one of the longest running safety campaigns in the country. It’s a good reminder to test the smoke alarms at home this week too.

This World Smile Day, we’re celebrating all the little smiles that fill our infant and toddler classrooms, from those first gummy grins to the biggest belly laughs. When little ones feel safe, loved, and cared for, their smiles say it all.
