Senior Spotlight: Roland Zuñiga
When reflecting on the Holy Cross Code’s description of a scholar as one who regards learning as a duty and intellectual perfection as an honor, a standout example can be found in Roland. Beginning in athletics, Roland competed with great zeal and sportsmanship in varsity bowling and soccer. He brought that same fight to robotics and applied leadership with team spirit to the award-winning program. Consistently in the ranks of Fr. Dujarie and St. Br. Andre Scholars, Roland was inducted into the Moreau Chapter of the National Honor Society. Recognized for his all-around excellence, passion for learning and critical thinking, and outstanding contributions in the classroom, his educators selected Roland for academic subject awards in English IV and Environmental Science. At Texas A&M San Antonio, Roland plans to major in zoology.
