Senior Spotlight: Alejandro Aguilar

Alex exemplified hard work and spirit as a Knight. In athletics he played football and baseball, and in soccer earned four years of all district honors. A tenacious goalkeeper and teammate, he represented the soccer team as a captain and made a positive impact to the future of the program. Carrying forward his qualities of dedication and strong character, Alex plans to serve in the United States Air Force.

Senior Spotlight: Aleina Alvarez

Holy Cross students are courageously multi-talented and Aelina is a shining example. In performing arts she was a “triple threat” — a dancer, actor, and vocalist. As captain of the dance team she helped the Golden Knights bring home a state championship, entered the spotlight on stage for several theatrical productions with the Thepsian Knights, and from prayer services to special Masses, Aleina was a key member in music ministry. Athletically, she played volleyball and tennis, and etched her name in the school record books of track and field. Aleina will continue her athletic career in track and field at Schreiner University where she plans to study psychology.

Senior Spotlight: Aiden Olivarez

From the classroom to the field, Aiden thrived at Holy Cross. A three-sport athlete in football, baseball, and track, he was also a four-year letterman. He earned all state honors and conference championships in football, a state championship plus TAPPS and school records in track, and helped his team earn district and area championships in baseball. As a student ambassador and member of robotics Aiden represented Holy Cross throughout the community, and his academic achievements earned him a membership in the National Honor Society. Aiden has committed to Augustana College to continue his athletic career in both football and track.

The future is bright for scholars like Aidan Padilla. As a member of the Moreau Chapter of the National Honor Society, Aidan consistently landed of the lists of St. Brother Andre and Father Dujarie Scholars. In athletics, he was a consummate teammate who contributed to the success of our championship basketball program. We look forward to witnessing Aidan’s future accomplishments as he ventures to St. Mary’s University and plans to study psychology.

Senior Spotlight: Adriel Sanchez

Adriel joined the Holy Cross family during his senior year and quickly became an integral part of his class. His peers and educators note the kindness, respect, and positive demeanor he brought to every room. Adriel’s academic success resulted in acceptances and scholarship offers from multiple institutions, ultimately leading him to decide on Texas A&M San Antonio where he plans to study business administration.
