🍰🏆 Memorial High School Culinary Arts Earns Top Honors! 🏆🍰

The Memorial High School Culinary Arts Program proudly competed in the St. Philip’s College Appetizer and Dessert Competition, where our students showcased exceptional creativity, professionalism, and culinary talent. 👨‍🍳✨

The team earned 3rd Place in both the People’s Choice and Judges’ Choice categories — an outstanding accomplishment that reflects their ability to impress both the public and culinary professionals alike! 🎉

Their featured dessert, a Mexican-inspired butter cake with blue masa cajeta and light whipped crema, beautifully blended traditional cultural flavors with modern culinary presentation. The dish highlighted the students’ creativity, technical skill, and appreciation for cultural influences in the culinary arts. 🇲🇽🍮

👏 A special recognition goes to Ms. Megan Tapia, Culinary Arts teacher, whose dedication and instruction continue to inspire students and help them succeed in competitive culinary environments.

Edgewood ISD is proud to celebrate two outstanding students, Vanessa Ponce and Brytanyy Garcia, who were selected as recipients of the prestigious “Golden Ticket” through Palo Alto College (PAC) and the Southside Education and Training Center (SETC). 🌟

This incredible opportunity provides students with a fully paid two-year nursing program, creating a direct pathway into a high-demand healthcare career. 💙

The Golden Ticket initiative helps remove financial barriers while opening doors to meaningful postsecondary opportunities in the medical field.

🎓✨ Memorial HS Hosts Outstanding TAFE Competition! ✨🎓

A big congratulations to Ms. Lopez and the Memorial High School team for hosting an incredible TAFE (Texas Association of Future Educators) competition! This event was part of the TEA TeachTX Pilot program, showcasing the hard work and talent of our future educators.

We were honored to welcome Erica Bates from TEA, along with Anna Olguin and Tracy Anderson from Region 20, who joined many dedicated judges from EISD and across Bexar County. A special thank you to our keynote speaker, Deputy Superintendent Mr. Phillip Chavez, for inspiring our students.

Our students truly shined, delivering outstanding presentations and demonstrating the skills of tomorrow’s educators. We are proud of their dedication and excellence! 👏🍎

🤖🚀 15th Annual ERIC 2026 – A Huge Success! 🚀🤖

The Edgewood Robotics Invitational Competition (ERIC) celebrated its 15th year on March 28, 2026, and what an incredible event it was! 🎉 With 49 teams competing, the energy, creativity, and innovation were on full display.

This year’s theme, “CTE is for me. It’s for everybody,” was brought to life by our students through their designs, teamwork, and passion — proving that opportunity in CTE truly belongs to all! 💡👏
