Our first day of Monday classes was a success! Students said they loved their classes and they were even better than they'd hoped they'd be! We're excited to get to pour into these student's lives!

Shiloh has been at CSDC for 6 years, and her favorite classes have been Thursday Performance and Professional Prep, taught by Irene Miller, and Vocal Training, by Kari West. Her favorite play was her senior intensive, Pirates of Penzance, where she played the male lead, Frederick. She plans to be a drama teacher and follow in the footsteps of her director, Irene Miller. She would like to thank her mom, her best friends, Nora and Erin, her older sister, Katalina, and her director, Irene Miller, for giving her the push she needed to be the person and actress she is today.
We are excited that Shiloh will still be at CSDC this coming year, as her little brother is joining the company. Best wishes for the future, Shiloh!

We know some of you have been saying you're going to sign up. Well, TODAY MAY BE THE LAST DAY. There are some classes that only need one or two more students for the teacher to be able to teach. Nora has been a student at CSDC since 2022. She has taken many classes that have had her acting, singing, sewing, and filmmaking. She loves all of the shows she has been in, all for different reasons. Her particular favorites are The Pirates of Penzance, where she portrayed Ruth, and Adventure, where she played the dual roles of Admiral Silver and Professor Flowers. With aspirations of becoming an actor, Nora is going to Rowan University in the fall to major in Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management, which she hopes to use in a career in humanitarian aid if an acting career doesn’t work out. Outside of school and theatre, she enjoys cooking, learning about food and languages, reading, and various other rotating interests. She would like to thank her instructors for all that they have taught her, and her friends for the community they have given her!

For the past six years, CSDC was like Matthew's second home. He started his journey in 2020 with Pilgrim’s Progress. Since then, he’s had the privilege of performing in 15 different plays, each one teaching him something new about himself. His favorite show was definitely Doctor in Wonderland, due to its unique plot and to the characters he played, including Humpty Dumpty! On top of that, he’s participated in many improv shows—he feels those moments of spontaneous creativity are pure magic! CSDC has truly changed his life, molding his character, and strengthening his faith. As a Christian, he strives to live out 1 Corinthians 10:31: “Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” That verse guides him, pushing him to bring authenticity and passion to every performance, hoping to inspire others along the way. Sadly, this is his last year, and he will terribly miss the theatre, and especially his mentor, Mrs. Irene Miller, to whom he’s forever grateful. In the future, he is pursuing a chemistry degree. But he’s also looking into expanding what he’s learned here, and going deeper into hobbies like animation, film, and/or voice acting.
