Our Story

SA YES was established 20 years ago to create a better future for youth in San Antonio and South Texas. Over the years, $3 Million has been put back into our communities through school supply distribution and grants for schools and non-profits.

Each year, SA YES selects Title 1 elementary schools in San Antonio and supplies students with a free package of school supplies. Since 1998, more than 425,000 students have received free school supplies, distributed by SA YES staff members and dedicated volunteers.

In 2019, SA YES assisted more than 22,000 local elementary students with free school supplies. SA YES does not believe in simply giving a hand out; the board members, staff and volunteers personally go to each elementary school and hands each child an individual packet of supplies. This act serves as a reminder that each child is important in our community.
