Some pictures from our beautiful ceremony this morning in honor of all veterans both past and present who fought for the freedoms that we enjoy as Americans. 🇺🇸

One day is not enough to express our gratitude for all the sacrifices that these brave men and women made on our behalf. We are forever indebted to you all. Thank you for your service.

A special thanks to our speakers:
Dr. Robert Vela, SAC President
Jóse Menéndez, Texas State Senator
Mike Gonzales, Birdwell Foundation
Michael Lindsay, USAF Student Veteran

If you didn't know, there are some great things happening at the SAC Victory Center that opened last year. Director Tammy Micallef and I had a great visit recently and I enjoyed learning about all the great services the center provides for veterans, active duty military, and their families! Taking care of our military families and veterans is a priority to me, especially ensuring educational benefits, vocational rehabilitation and transition guidance, specialized assistance like disability claims assistance, as well as the Birdwell Foundation of San Antonio PTSD Life Coaching and Support Group. I will do everything in my power to assist in our veterans' future through their reintegration back into society after service.
