We offer programs that prepare individuals for careers immediately upon graduation. This is done through academic programs that provide college credit, non-credit continuing education courses and professional developmen

From SAT Preparation for college bound students to professional development to enhance current skills or develop new ones, Northwest Vista College Education & Training is where your educational experience begins. WORKFORCE EDUCATION PROGRAMS (ACADEMIC CREDIT)

Academic Workforce Programs prepare students to enter the labor market in targeted industries. In these markets trained employees are in high-demand, required advanced technological skills and receive competitive wages. Additionally, academic credit programs award college credit that is transferable to many major universities and can be applied to work toward an undergraduate degree. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
CONTINUING EDUCATION (NON-CREDIT)

Continuing Education courses offer students an alternative way of developing new skills and becoming more employable. Students earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) rather than credit hours; however a student may request that CEUs be converted to Semester Credit Hours at a later date. ROBOTICS SUPPORT CENTER

TIER, the Texas Institute for Educational Robotics, a program of Northwest Vista College, was founded to promote robotics as a tool to motivate students to study Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields throughout their education and to pursue STEM related careers. TIER accomplishes its mission by providing workshops, competitions, special events and support to educators, schools and community groups participating in youth robotics programs. THE VISTA LANGUAGE PROGRAM

The Vista Language Program (ESL) provides quality learning and enrichment experiences to meet the lifelong needs of students. The ESL curriculum includes instruction in Grammar, Writing and Conversation of Reading. A student may choose to take the ESL courses at either Northwest Vista College or the Westside Education and Training Center (WETC).
