🌧️ Weather Update for Our Families 🌧️
As of this moment, we anticipate operating tomorrow during our normal hours. However, we will continue to closely monitor the weather conditions throughout the night and will provide an update by 5:00 a.m. tomorrow morning if there are any changes to our hours or operations.
💗 Tomorrow is also PINK OUT DAY! 💗
Let’s fill our center with PINK in support of Breast Cancer Awareness! 🎀 Wear your brightest pink, your favorite shade of pink, or anything pink you have! 💕
Let’s come together to show our love and support for everyone who has battled breast cancer, those currently fighting, survivors, and the families who have walked alongside them. 🎀💗
Stay safe tonight, and we’ll keep everyone updated in the morning!

⛈️ Hi, KGLC Families! ❤️
With the weather expected to become more severe across the San Antonio area, we want to remind everyone to please take your time and drive safely when coming to pick up your little ones. Your safety and the safety of your family are our top priority. Please allow yourself plenty of extra time and do not rush while traveling in these conditions.
We are continuing to closely monitor the weather and will follow updates and guidance from our local school district. If conditions worsen or there are any changes that may affect our hours or operations, we will communicate with our families as quickly as possible.

🎨✨ Look What Our Friends Created! ✨🎨
Our Pre-K friends had so much fun getting creative and turning simple shapes into their very own characters! 🔵🟨🔺🟩 From silly faces to fun little creatures, their imaginations were definitely working overtime! 😍
Activities like this are more than just art—they help children recognize shapes, practice fine-motor skills, use their creativity, and build confidence as they make their own choices and ideas come to life. 🧠✂️❤️
Who knew a circle, square, and triangle could become so much fun?! 🎨🥰

🪱🌱 Wiggly Worms & BIG Learning! 🌱🪱
Our Pre-K friends had an AMAZING hands-on learning experience with a special visit from Texas A&M AgriLife! 👩‍🌾💚
Our little scientists got to get up close and personal with some very wiggly friends! They learned all about worms, what they eat, how they help our gardens grow, and why they are so important to our compost piles and the environment. 🌎🌿
And the fun didn’t stop there! Our friends got to search for worms, touch them, observe them, and even create their very own worm farms to take care of and watch as they grow and multiply! 🪱🏡
We love giving our children opportunities to learn through hands-on exploration, curiosity, and a whole lot of fun! Their little faces said it all—they were fascinated by these tiny creatures! 😍🪱

🎨🇲🇽 Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month! 🇲🇽🎨
Our Afterschool friends are celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month by learning about the incredible Mexican artist Diego Rivera, whose vibrant murals highlighted Mexican history, culture, and everyday life, and creating their own artwork inspired by his colorful and meaningful style! 🖌️✨
Through this activity, the kids explored how art can tell stories, express culture, and bring people together while developing their creativity, observation skills, and confidence as young artists. 🌎❤️

Our After School friends have been learning about the incredible artist Yayoi Kusama, a famous Japanese contemporary artist known around the world for her colorful artwork, polka dots, repeating patterns, and immersive installations. 🌈🎨
Our little artists took inspiration from her unique style and created their own colorful masterpieces using patterns, repetition, and LOTS of dots! 👏🏼🖌️

🪱🌱 Worms, composting & learning! 🌎💚

Today, our After School friends had a special visit from Texas A&M AgriLife Extension – Bexar County! They learned all about worms, the important job they do, and how having worms in our compost can help our environment. 🌱🪱

The kids got hands-on and created their very own worm farms to keep in their classroom! They’ll get to care for their little wigglers, watch them grow and multiply, and see firsthand how worms help turn food scraps into something that benefits our Earth. 🌎✨

We LOVE giving our kids opportunities to learn through hands-on experiences and discover how even the tiniest creatures can make a BIG difference! 💚🪱🌱

Yesterday, our Afterschool friends stepped into the exciting world of zookeepers! 👩‍🔬🐾 They learned all about what zookeepers do and how they care for animals, keep them safe, and help create habitats where animals can thrive. 🌿🏡
Then came the FUN part! 🎨✂️ Our little zookeepers put their creativity to work designing and creating their very own animal habitats and zoos! 🦒🐯🦓
We love watching our kiddos learn through hands-on experiences, creativity, and lots of imagination! ❤️📚✨
Who knows…we might have some future zookeepers in the making! 🐾🦁💚

Look at our sweet Nayeli go!!! 😍👏 Our sensitive, smart, and absolutely precious 3-year-old earned her ORANGE STRIPES in karate! 🥋🧡
We couldn’t be more proud of her! Watching her stand up there with such courage and confidence during her presentation is the sweetest thing. 🥹✨ She is learning that being strong isn’t just about what you can do—it’s about believing in yourself, trying your best, and never giving up! 💪🏼🌟

🐾👩‍⚕️ Future Veterinarians in the Making! 🐶🐱
Our After-School friends have been learning all about different careers and jobs, and this week they discovered what veterinarians do! 🩺🐾
They learned how veterinarians help animals stay healthy, care for them when they’re sick, and make sure our furry friends get the love and care they deserve. ❤️
And guess what?! These friends told us they want to be veterinarians when they grow up! 🥰👩‍⚕️🐕🐈
We love encouraging our kiddos to dream BIG and reminding them that they can be anything they set their minds to! 🌟✨
Who knows… maybe we have some future veterinarians right here at Kids Garden Learning Center! 🐾💚
