St. James the Apostle Catholic School

As this school year comes to a close and we prepare for our next one, we want to take a moment to celebrate and thank our incredible families for all of your love, support, encouragement, and partnership throughout the year.

One of our favorite memories was our first annual Muffins with Moms and Donuts with Dads! These special events gave us the opportunity to celebrate the important role families play in the lives of our students and to strengthen the connections that make our St. James community so special.

We are grateful for every family that entrusts us with their children and for the relationships we build together. Thank you for being such an important part of our school family. We look forward to making even more memories together in the years ahead!

What an exciting season of progress!

The first phase of our building project is nearing completion, and we have officially begun preparing for the next phase: the renovation of our Learning Center!

This month, an amazing group of staff, volunteers, parents and some of our older students came together to help pack up Every. Single. Thing. in the Learning Center. Thanks to their hard work and willingness to serve, everything has been moved out and safely stored as we get ready for the next stage of construction.

Little by little, we are moving closer to the dream God has placed before us, and we couldn't be more excited to see it becoming a reality. Thank you to everyone who has supported, prayed for, and worked alongside us on this journey. The best is yet to come!

We are proud to recognize our own Sr. Debbie and Sr. Lourdes for leading the invocation at Councilwoman Ivalis Meza Gonzalez's recent event. Their faith-filled presence and dedication to service beautifully reflect the mission and values of St. James the Apostle School.

During the Month of the Rosary, we gathered together as one school family to honor our Blessed Mother, Mary. Through prayer and reflection, we lifted our intentions for peace, love, and healing for the whole world. May the guidance and protection of our Blessed Mother always lead us closer to God.

Celebrating a good old-fashioned — and somewhat stinky — middle school rite of passage: dissections!

Our 6th graders dissected earthworms, 7th graders explored sharks, and 8th graders tackled frogs. Students learned so much through this hands-on science experience and even had fun along the way!

One of the coolest discoveries? TWO of the sharks were pregnant with fetuses inside… and ONE of them had twins!

Experiences like these are what hands-on learning is all about — engaging curiosity, making discoveries, and creating unforgettable moments in the classroom.

Congratulations to our Fun Nun Run winners! This week they were picked up in style in a stretch limo and treated to an afternoon at Peter Piper Pizza filled with pizza, desserts, games, and lots of fun!
