🌞Summer Spotlight 🌞

Today, our Locke Hill family came together to celebrate and say farewell to someone who has made such a special impact on our campus. 💙❤️

Our amazing Super Sub, Mrs. Sachs, is moving to Michigan, and while we are excited for her next adventure, we will truly miss having her as part of our team every day.

As our campus-assigned substitute, she was so much more than a person filling a vacancy. She stepped in wherever she was needed, supported teachers and students, took on any challenge with a positive attitude, and always found a way to help our school shine. She built meaningful relationships with staff and students and cared deeply about the Locke Hill community.

Her kindness, flexibility, and dedication made her an invaluable part of our Lion family. 🦁

Thank you for all the memories, the support, and the countless ways you showed up for Locke Hill. Michigan is gaining an incredible person! We wish you nothing but the best on this next chapter. ❤️

Our Locke Hill Lions are always finding ways to make a difference—even during summer break! 🤍❤️

Mr. Deleon, Mrs. Renteria, Mrs. Bravo, and Mrs. Carmona spent the first four weeks of their summer vacation giving back by teaching summer school at Mead and Ward Elementary Schools. 📚✨

Their dedication, passion, and commitment to helping students continue to learn and grow truly shows what it means to be Locke Hill Strong! We are so proud of the impact they continue to make beyond our campus. 🦁❤️

🌞Summer Spotlight🌞

While students are enjoying summer break, Mrs. Briseño has been hard at work completing the final two weeks of her Orff Schulwerk certification! 🎶

Orff Schulwerk is a music education approach that encourages students to learn through singing, speaking, movement, dance, and playing instruments. Mrs. Briseño is excited to bring these new ideas and hands-on learning experiences back to the music room and continue inspiring a love of music in her students!

☀️ Summer Sunlight ☀️

Our School Counselor, Mrs. Lopez, spent a day at the San Antonio Zoo with her wild crew! From observing amazing animals/insects to feeding the flamingos, it was a day full of adventure, learning, and fun.

☀️ Summer Spotlight: Mr. DeLeon ☀️

Our 3rd grade teacher, Mr. DeLeon and his family, had an amazing time cheering on their favorite team at the watch party for Game 3 of the NBA Finals! 🏀🎉 The excitement was electric as they celebrated a big Spurs victory together.

We love seeing our staff making memories with their families during summer break. Thanks for sharing your summer fun, Mr. DeLeon!🏀

☀️ Summer Spotlight: Ms. Doubrava ☀️

Have you been wondering how our staff spend their summer vacation? We’ve started a new series for the summer spotlighting our staff and their summer shenanigans! First up is Ms. Doubrava! ❤️

This summer, she has been busy cheering on some of our Lions outside the classroom. She attended Owen’s dance recital and was also there to support Logan, Liam, and Miles at their soccer game. ⚽💃

Our teachers care deeply about their students, and that support doesn’t end when the school year does. Thank you, Ms. Doubrava, for showing our students that you are one of their biggest fans both in and out of the classroom!

Shoutout to Ms. Mantle for dedicating the past two days to Civics Training alongside administration! 📚👏

It was two full days of learning, collaboration, and LOTS of test questions, but her hard work and commitment to growing as an educator do not go unnoticed.

We appreciate all the effort she put into continuing to learn and lead. Great job, Ms. Mantle! 🎉🦁❤️
