Our kindergarteners were hard at work in math today learning how to find 1 more within 10! They practiced identifying hidden numbers, counting up to 10, and counting back down from 10 to 1. 🎯✨

Congratulations to Ms. Cotton, one of our kinder teachers! She was recently awarded a NEF grant! 🍎

🏓❤️ A HUGE thank you to Chicken N Pickle! ❤️🏓

Our Lions had an amazing time during today’s assemblies with Chicken N Pickle! They did a fantastic job introducing students to the game, explaining how to play, and—best of all—giving our students the opportunity to get out there and try it for themselves! 🙌

Beyond learning a new sport, our students were reminded of the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship, communication, and having fun together. 🏓🤝🦁

Some of our Lions practiced and performed with Tom C. Clark High School Top Kitty! We are so grateful for our partnership with Clark HS and so proud of our Lions for learning and dance and performing it at the football game! Thank you to the Top Kitty Clark HS students for this wonderful experience for our little Lions! 🦁🐾🏈

Family project time! 🎃

Our Lions will bring reading, creativity, and family fun together with our Family Literacy Pumpkin Project! 🧡

Families will work together to turn pumpkins into creative characters inspired by their favorite books, stories, or literary characters. What a fun way to celebrate the joy of reading while creating special memories together! 📖

Pumpkins can be dropped off October 19-23!

Our 1st graders were working hard in math today as they built their fluency and problem-solving skills! They tackled word problems that challenged them to figure out “how many more” and use the strategy of counting on from a number to solve.

But they didn’t stop there! Students took what they discovered and represented their thinking by creating number bonds and number sentences. ➕🔢

We love seeing our firsties explain their thinking, use strategies, and make connections between representations!🦁❤️
