⚔️💻 HELLO, CYBER VIKING CREW! 💻⚔️

Great practice yesterday! I saw everyone learning, asking questions, helping each other, and working as a TEAM. That’s exactly what I want to see.

To our new team members—you’re doing great! I know I’m throwing a LOT of information at you, and sometimes you’re probably thinking, “Coach Hall…what are you even talking about?” 😂 That’s okay!

Remember:

📝 Ask questions and write them down.
🔎 Google is your best friend—learn how to FIND the answer.
🤝 Ask your teammates for help.
🧠 Make mistakes, troubleshoot, learn, and try again.

As your coach, I’m here to make you THINK, but I’m also here to answer questions and guide you along this cyber journey.

Here’s your Coach Hall thought for the week:

You don’t have to know everything to belong on this team.

Be curious. Be willing to learn. Help the person next to you. When something doesn’t work, don’t quit—figure out WHY.

🚨 Remember: NO PRACTICE TOMORROW!

But your homework didn’t magically disappear into the Cyber Realm. 😂 Research the topics I gave each of you. Use Google, YouTube, the internet, and AI to LEARN—not just find answers.

If you have questions, drop them here. I’ll answer.

And remember this: we are not a group of individuals sitting at computers—we are a TEAM.

When one person learns something, share it.
When someone struggles, help them.
When someone succeeds, celebrate with them.
And when things go wrong, we figure it out TOGETHER.

Nobody on this team learns alone, competes alone, or succeeds alone.

One team. One crew. We learn together, we get better together, and when competition day comes—we compete together.

I believe in every one of you. Now believe in yourselves—and believe in each other.

I’ll see the whole crew Monday. ⚔️🛡️💻

An announcement from The Cyber Viking!

🚀🛡️ THE CYBER VIKING IS BACK AT Starbase Kelly SATX! 🛡️🚀

What better way to spend my lunch break than talking STEM and Cyber Safety with an awesome group of 5th-grade students! 💻⚔️

This afternoon, I made my first visit of the new learning year to STARBASE Kelly, where I got to spend some time with my friends and the fantastic 5th-grade students from Bob Hope Elementary School.

And since Cybersecurity Awareness Month is right around the corner, I figured I would get a head start! 😎🛡️

We talked about how bad hackers and online criminals try to trick people and why even gamers need to think about cybersecurity. 🎮💻 We discussed:

🔗 Why you should be careful clicking links sent through games and chats
🦠 How malware can infect computers and devices
📧 How SPAM and phishing messages try to trick you
🎮 How criminals may try to steal gaming accounts and other online accounts
📍 Why you should understand which apps can access or share your location
🧠 And most importantly — STOP, THINK, and ASK a trusted adult when something online doesn't look right!

Cyber safety doesn't have to wait until October. The earlier we teach students how to recognize online threats and protect themselves, the better prepared they will be as they explore technology and STEM.

And STARBASE had a surprise waiting for me...

Meet Astro the Water Bear! 🐻🔬🚀

My friends at STARBASE gave me a 3D-printed version of their new mascot, Astro, which I think is pretty cool! I have a feeling Astro may need to meet Harald the Bluetooth sometime. 😂⚔️

It was fantastic being back at STARBASE Kelly, visiting with my friends, and getting another opportunity to talk with students about STEM, cybersecurity, and staying safe online.

Thanks for having me back! Until next time...

⚔️🐾💻 FIRST FULL-TEAM HANDS IN! 💻🐾⚔️

Today was a special moment for the Medina Valley AFJROTC CyberPatriot Team — for the first time this season, we had ALL of our team members together for our “Hands In!” 🙌 Medina Valley AFJROTC TX-20009

Returning members. New members. Windows defenders. Linux warriors. Cisco networkers. One team.

Our “Hands In” may seem like a small tradition, but it represents something much bigger: teamwork, trust, leadership, and knowing that nobody competes alone.

When competition day arrives, it won't matter who finds the vulnerability, solves the networking problem, or figures out why Linux decided to make life interesting. 😂 We succeed by communicating, helping each other, and working together.

And this season, our crew is growing stronger!

To all our new team members — welcome to the crew! To our returning members — thank you for stepping up, sharing what you know, and helping train the next generation.

This was our first Hands In with the entire 2026–2027 team…

It definitely won't be our last. ⚔️🔥
