Congratulations to Adriana Arredondo Cannon for successfully defending her MA comprehensive exams! Committee Members: Dr. Gilberto P. Lara and Dr. Howard Smith. Adriana is a participant of Project SELFIES (Secondary English Learners and FamilIES), a National Professional Development (NPD) Grant funded by the U.S. Department of Education's Office of English Language Acquisition (OELA).

El jueves tuvimos nuestra 3ra junta del año escolar con los maestr@s líderes de secundaria y preparatoria. Celebramos logros y aprendimos una estrategia nueva para agregar a nuestra caja de herramientas.

This past Thursday we held our 3rd secondary lead teacher meeting where we celebrated campus accomplishments and we learn one new strategy to add to our toolkit.

District ICs and Academic Deans dove deep into CBLI strategies that strengthen instruction, foster student success, and elevate lessons across our schools. From sharing best practices to tackling real-world challenges, every conversation sparked new ideas to help teachers grow. 💡🤝

Ayer 17 maestros Duales de primaria, secundaria y preparatoria aprendieron sobre el BTLPT con la Doctora ET. Y déjenme decirles que se sienten más que preparados para tomar este examen que los acerca a adquirir su certificación Bilingüe.

Yesterday, 17 Dual Language teacher from elementary, middle and high school learned strategies from Dr. ET to pass the BTLPT AND let me tell you they feel more than prepared to challenge the test.
