As you hear news coverage about the loss of SNAP benefits, which goes into effect Nov. 1, please know that it does not affect our free breakfast and lunch program for all our students. Additionally, your child’s campus also is eligible for free supper meals since the campus offers academic programming and enrichment after the end of the school day.

It is important to know that, as a requirement of the program, students must eat the meals on campus and cannot take the meals home with them.

Como usted habrá escuchado en las noticias sobre la pausa de los beneficios de SNAP, que entrará en vigor el 1 de noviembre, le informamos que esto no afecta a nuestro programa de desayunos y almuerzos gratuitos para todos nuestros estudiantes. We are absolutely thrilled to have our amazing students back on campus! The energy, the smiles, and the excitement in the air have truly made this first morning together unforgettable. Seeing all of your children’s bright faces has reminded us why we do what we do — thank you for sharing them with us!

As we settle into the new school year, we want to remind all parents and guardians about our drop-off and pick-up procedures to help ensure a safe and smooth experience for everyone. Please take a moment to review the guidelines and follow the designated dismissal pick up stations.

Dear Families,
We want you to be aware of a situation we had at school today. Today the campus experienced a power outage caused by local weather conditions. CPS Energy is working to address the issue as quickly as possible.
Students are safe in their classrooms and are utilizing natural light and opening windows as needed. We will continue with the school day as normally as possible.
Also, we are aware that there are road closures in the area, so please be patient and safe in your afternoon travels.
Student safety is a top priority at SAISD schools, and we want to keep families informed of situations as soon as we are able, and the care we take in addressing them. We thank you for your support and understanding.
