The University of the Incarnate Word is currently looking for IN PERSON adjunct instructors for Kinesiology for the Fall Semester - specifically in the areas of Physical Education, Adapted Physical Education, and Motor Behavior.

The courses we are looking to fill are as follows (starting August, 25 2025):
- Motor Learning and Development on Mondays 9:00-11:45 am
- Adapted Physical Education on Wednesdays 9:00-11:45 am
- Health and Physical Education for Elementary (EC-6) Teachers on Tues/Thurs 10:30-11:45 am
- Graduate-level Adapted Physical Activity and Sport on Mondays 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm

So thankful for this opportunity for our grad class to work with The Mitchell Chang Foundation!

Since we want all of our friends to be able to come and enjoy Mitchell’s Landing’s opening celebration, even those who might feel anxious or sensory integration differences, we will have a Sensory Calming Tent!!!

has partnered with the Foundation to have their graduate Adaptive Kinesiology class design the sensory tent!!! 😃🫶. Their calming/centering ideas are looking pretty good! We are so excited and proud to have this inclusive feature at the opening and hope it helps community members come who might normally shied away from the event.

We have 4 CHED students and 2 Healthcare Sciences students, and we can’t wait to do it again!

If you are interested in Physical Therapy, and you are around this summer... you should go hang out with some of our favorite people from the Texas Physical Therapy Specialists location on Broadway!

Congratulations to the Class of 2024!

Students in the Adapted Physical Activity and Sport class spent the morning at Morgan’s Wonderland! They learned about various sport chairs and how to play adapted sports! We ended our time with a tour of the park.
