π SETA P-TECH Teachers Take Learning Beyond the Classroom! πβ¨
Today was an incredible professional learning experience as Dr. Daniel I. Pineda, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Mechanical, Aerospace, and Industrial Engineering and Associate Director of the Center for Advanced Measurements in Extreme Environments (CAMEE) at The University of Texas at San Antonio (UT San Antonio), visited SETA P-TECH to provide our teachers with valuable industry-based insights.
Our teachers had the opportunity to connect with higher education and industry expertise, gaining a deeper understanding of the skills, knowledge, and experiences our students need to succeed in aerospace, engineering, and technology careers.
At SETA P-TECH, we believe that preparing students for the future starts with preparing our educators today. Thank you, Dr. Pineda, for sharing your expertise and helping us continue to inspire the next generation of innovators, engineers, and explorers! ππ°οΈ

About 250 kids spent June 29th at USAA learning about STEM careers through the company's annual KIDternship 2026 Expo for employees' kids.
SETA was there to help inspire the next generation of innovators. Engineering teacher Tracy Thomas and Director Denise Martinez Ruiz shared numerous problem based projects to include CAD programs, power tool usage, competitions in rocketry, and rocket math using trigonometry.
Participants were able to use the engineering design process to create a straw rocket and fly it. They were then able to make design changes in order to make their rockets more aerodynamic to fly a greater distance. SETAβ¦helping to inspire the next STEM leaders in our community!
