Today our Preschool class put their engineering skills to work with Magna-Tiles! 🌉✨

The challenge? Build a bridge strong enough to stand tall and connect two points. Through trial and error, teamwork, and lots of creativity, our young builders designed some impressive structures!

Activities like this help children develop critical thinking, problem-solving, spatial awareness, and early STEM skills while having tons of fun. Watching their confidence grow as they tested and improved their designs was incredible!

We are so proud of our little engineers and the amazing ideas they bring to the classroom every day. 💚

Our Summer Camp crew took Camping Week to the next level today! 🏕️🔥🍫

After setting up their giant tent and sharing spooky campfire stories, our campers wrapped up the adventure by making their very own ice cream s'more sandwiches! Using graham crackers, ice cream, and all the creativity they could muster, they created a cool twist on a classic camping favorite.

Activities like this help children practice following directions, making choices, working together, and building independence—all while creating sweet summer memories with friends.

We may not be in the great outdoors, but our campers are proving that the camping experience can happen anywhere! 🏕️✨

With the help of Miss Victoria, our campers worked together to set up a GINORMOUS tent right inside the classroom! Once their campsite was complete, they brought in their handcrafted campfire and gathered around to tell spooky stories, share laughs, and let their imaginations run wild.

Activities like these encourage teamwork, creativity, communication skills, and imaginative play while creating unforgettable summer memories. Watching their excitement as they transformed their classroom into a real campsite was priceless!

Today, we had a very special visit from the Southwest Dairy Farmers, and they brought a surprise guest with them—Miss Daisy the dairy cow! 🐮💕

Our students had the opportunity to learn where their milk comes from and discover how many of their favorite dairy products are made. From milk and cheese to yogurt and ice cream, the children explored the journey dairy products take from the farm to their tables.

Hands-on experiences like these help bring learning to life, creating meaningful connections between everyday foods and the hardworking farmers who provide them. We loved watching our students ask questions, make discoveries, and of course, meet Miss Daisy!

While the Texas weather kept us indoors today, our Summer Camp crew turned the gym into an exciting laser tag arena! The campers worked together, practiced strategy, stayed active, and had an absolute blast dodging lasers and competing with their friends.

Today our one-year-olds enjoyed some free art exploration! While it may look like simple scribbles to the untrained eye, these little masterpieces represent so much more than just marks on paper.

As our young artists grasped crayons, made intentional movements, and experimented with colors and lines, they were strengthening the small muscles in their hands and fingers that will later help with skills like writing, buttoning clothes, and using utensils. They were also building hand-eye coordination, creativity, decision-making skills, and self-expression.

At this age, the process is far more important than the final product. Rather than focusing on creating identical teacher-made crafts, children benefit most from opportunities to explore materials independently, make choices, and create something uniquely their own. These experiences help foster confidence, problem-solving skills, and a lifelong love of learning.

🎨🔴🔵 Color Mixing Magic in Our Twos Classroom! 🔵🔴🎨

Today our curious little learners explored the fascinating world of color blending! Using different amounts of red and blue paint, they experimented with creating a variety of purple shades and discovered how colors can change depending on the amount used.

This simple activity was packed with learning opportunities. As the children observed the color gradients, they were developing early science skills through prediction, observation, and experimentation. They also strengthened their fine motor skills while carefully adding and mixing colors. Most importantly, they were learning that there can be many different outcomes from the same materials, encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving.

We loved welcoming all of our dads, grandpas, uncles, and special father figures for Donuts with Dad this morning. There was nothing sweeter than seeing our little ones share donuts, coffee, laughs, and special moments with the people who mean so much to them.
