🐾💚 What an incredible treat we had during Community Helpers Week!
Today, our students had the opportunity to meet two very special new friends, Keller and Luke, and learn all about their amazing guide dogs! The children were able to sit down with them, ask questions, and discover what guide dogs are, how they are trained, and the important work they do each and every day.
Experiences like this are such a meaningful way for our children to learn about the world around them. Beyond learning about working dogs, our students got a beautiful, age-appropriate lesson in independence, inclusion, kindness, and the many different ways people navigate their communities.
A huge thank you to Keller and Luke for spending time with us, sharing their experiences, and helping make our Community Helpers Week extra special. We absolutely loved making new friends — both two-legged and four-legged! 🐾💚
