Harlandale ISD

Our brand-new Multipurpose Center officially came to life this past weekend as it hosted the Harlandale ISD Volleyball Invitational!

Sixteen teams, including our Harlandale Indians and McCollum Cowboys, competed during the two-day tournament and helped make the center's first event one to remember.

Thank you to all the teams that competed and everyone who worked behind the scenes to make the tournament a success. This is just the beginning!

¡Nuestro nuevo Centro Multiusos tomó vida oficialmente este fin de semana pasado al albergar el Torneo Invitacional de Voleibol de Harlandale ISD!

Dieciséis equipos, incluidos nuestros Harlandale Indians y McCollum Cowboys, compitieron durante el torneo de dos días y contribuyeron a que el primer evento del centro fuera memorable.

The first competition is officially underway at our brand-new Multipurpose Center! Sixteen high school volleyball teams took the court today, including our own Harlandale and McCollum high schools, with tournament play continuing tomorrow.

Join us tomorrow, August 15 at our Multipurpose Center on 906 March Ave. and cheer on both teams during their next games!

There’s nothing like having our students back in the classroom!

We asked our campuses to share a glimpse of their first week back, and they delivered with more than 250 photos! From meeting new teachers and classmates to diving into lessons, activities and plenty of first-week fun, we loved seeing what our students have been up to across Harlandale ISD.

¡No hay nada como tener a nuestros estudiantes de vuelta en clase!

Pedimos a nuestros planteles que compartieran un vistazo de su primera semana de regreso, ¡y respondieron con más de 250 fotos! Desde conocer a nuevos maestros y compañeros hasta sumergirse en las lecciones, actividades y toda la diversión propia de la primera semana, nos encantó ver lo que han estado haciendo nuestros estudiantes a travès de Harlandale ISD.

¡Ya pasó una semana y estas fotos nos hacen esperar con ilusión todo lo que traerá este año escolar! ¿Cuál fue tu parte favorita de la primera semana de regreso?

Our Harlandale ISD campuses recently welcomed students and families to their Meet the Teacher and Orientation events.

They had a chance to connect with teachers, either for the first time or to reconnect with them, and to get ready for the year ahead.

Recientemente, los planteles de Harlandale ISD dieron la bienvenida a estudiantes y familias a sus eventos de orientación y de presentación de maestros.

Ahì tuvieron la oportunidad de conocer a los maestros por primera vez o de reencontrarse con ellos, y tambien para prepararse para el año escolar que comienza.

Being named a Top 2 School District in the San Antonio area by MySA/Express-News readers reflects the opportunities our students have to discover their talents, pursue their passions and perform at the highest level.

Our award-winning theatre program is one example. Harlandale ISD theatre students earn UIL honors, develop their craft and pursue opportunities beyond high school.
This year, two Harlandale theatre students earned lead roles in St. Philip's College production of Hadestown, including Marco Garcia, who portrayed Orpheus in Harlandale High School Theatre's production.

It’s one of the many reasons our District continues to be a destination for student success!

El haber sido reconocido por los lectores de MySA/Express-News como uno de los dos mejores distritos escolares del área de San Antonio refleja las oportunidades que tienen nuestros estudiantes para descubrir sus talentos, cultivar sus pasiones y alcanzar el máximo nivel de desempeño.

Nuestro galardonado programa de teatro es un ejemplo de ello. Los estudiantes de teatro de Harlandale ISD obtienen reconocimientos de la UIL, perfeccionan su arte y buscan oportunidades más allá de la escuela preparatoria.
Este año, dos estudiantes de teatro de Harlandale obtuvieron papeles protagónicos en la producción de *Hadestown* de St. Philip's College; entre ellos se encuentra Marco Garcia, quien interpretó a Orfeo en la producción de teatro de la preparatoria Harlandale.
