Congratulations to Simon Mendenhall for passing his Qualifying Exam (QE)!

This past Friday, we showcased the wonderful and diverse research that the UTSA students are partaking in with our UTSA/SwRI Research Symposium! The attendance this year was incredible with a mix of grads, undergrads, and even students outside the physics department! It was an amazing experience for the students to practice their presentation skills and show off their hard work at the same time. Thank you to all who attended and presented, and even those who came to support their peers! A special thank you as well to the incredible team who oragnized and chaired the event to help it run smoothly!

Last Friday we hosted our programs 20th anniversary! It was a wonderful mix of current students, alumni, UTSA faculty and adjoint faculty. Here's to the next 20 years!

Congratulations Sakshee on your selection to participate in the NASA Lucy Student Pipeline Accelerator and Competency Enabler (L'SPACE) Mission Concept Academy – Summer 2025 Program.

The L'SPACE Academy is a highly competitive NASA-sponsored workforce development program that offers university students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with mission design, team collaboration, and systems engineering, under the guidance of NASA scientists and engineers.
