Today, we had the honor of being invited by SAISD to attend the Hall of Fame event and celebrate more Brackenridge greatness!

Congratulations to Brackenridge Eagle Ramon Richards and the legendary 1962 Brackenridge State Champion Eagles on being honored in the SAISD Hall of Fame! 🏆

It was an honor to be part of this special event and celebrate the Eagles who came before us and helped build the tradition we proudly represent today.

San Antonio ISD will celebrate the 12th annual Athletic Hall of Fame Aug. 8 at the Alamo Convocation Center, honoring alumni who have made an impact in sports. One of this year's inductees is Ramon Richards, who graduated from Brackenridge High School in 2014.

A flashy personality mixed with speed and swagger, Richards was a four-year letterman quarterback who earned all-district, all-city and all-state honors. His greatest achievement came in 2012 when he guided his Brackenridge Eagles into the state playoffs and upset then state-ranked Alamo Heights 25-24 in Alamo Stadium to claim the Class 4A bi-district championship. Richards was a dual-threat quarterback who excelled both through the air and on the ground. He signed a four-year scholarship to play football at Oklahoma State University. He started 35 games for the Cowboys starring as a cornerback and safety. In his collegiate career, he had 10 interceptions, including a game-sealing interception in overtime against the Texas Longhorns in 2017. Richards was selected as an undrafted free agent for the Los Angeles Rams in 2018 and was part of the team that played in Super Bowl LIII. Off the field, Richards has dedicated his life to giving back to the community – hosting football camps for youth and visiting schools as a mentor and motivational speaker.

SAISD celebrará su 12ª edición anual del Salón de la Fama del Deporte, el 8 de agosto en el Alamo Convocation Center, honrando a los exalumnos que han dejado huella en el mundo del deporte. Uno de los nuevos miembros este año es Ramon Richards, que se graduó de Brackenridge High School en 2014.

Con una personalidad deslumbrante, combinada con velocidad y estilo, Richards fue un mariscal que jugó los cuatro años de preparatoria y que obtuvo distinciones a nivel de distrito, de ciudad y de estado. Su mayor logro se produjo en 2012, cuando llevó a sus Brackenridge Eagles a los playoffs estatales y derrotó por sorpresa a Alamo Heights, que entonces ocupaba el primer puesto en la clasificación estatal, con una puntuación de 25-24 en el Alamo Stadium, consiguiendo así el título de campeón bidistrital de la categoría 4A. Richards era un mariscal versátil que destacaba tanto en los pases como en las carreras. Firmó una beca de cuatro años para jugar fútbol americano en la Universidad Estatal de Oklahoma. Fue titular en 35 partidos con los Cowboys, donde destacó como esquinero y profundo. En su carrera universitaria, consiguió 10 intercepciones, incluyendo una que cerró el partido en tiempo extra contra los Texas Longhorns en 2017. Richards fue seleccionado como agente libre no reclutado para los Rams de Los Ángeles en 2018 y fue parte del equipo que jugó en el Super Bowl LIII. Fuera del campo, Richards ha dedicado su vida a contribuir a la comunidad: organizando campamentos de fútbol americano para jóvenes y visitando escuelas como mentor y orador motivacional.
