Some fun things are happening this week in the library - students are coming by to claim their prizes for participating in the School Library Month trivia & book checkout drawing. Also, the library is offering free new and gently used books to add to your home library.

In October my 7th grade lunch bunch helped me start “Jack” the pumpkin in a terrarium. Over the last few months the kids have watched Jack rot and regrow. Jack has finally outgrown his terrarium and is ready to go into the ground. I will keep you all posted on social media with his new adventures.

Our DIY Chia Pets went crazy over night! It has been fun watching them grow!

This week’s Celebrate Libraries trivia has ended. The winners will be announced on Tuesday. Do you think you know the books that were turned into a movie by the description?

Classes visiting the Kirby MS library to checkout books in April got to have some fun celebrating National Poetry Month by making Book Spine Poetry, and Blackout Poetry.

This month we are celebrating school libraries with some fun activities and trivia. Can you name the shredded book inside of the jar? (Don’t worry, the book was damaged and unusable before it was shredded.)

This week in the library the students are having fun learning how to use tracks to identify Texas wildlife and making their own casting of a tracks printed with our new 3D printer.
