Today was day one of Women’s Month and we opened it with Women on Target.

Fourteen women showed up ready to learn. Questions were asked. Fundamentals were taught. Confidence started building.

This class is for women who want to understand what they’re doing from the ground up, safe, correct, and without feeling out of place.

To this group, thank you for choosing to train with us. You’re already locked in for next week and now you’ve requested a third class.

That’s how it’s supposed to go.

Seven women trained with At Her Defense today and they brought everything they had. Each one pushed past their nerves, locked in, and rose to the moment. You would have needed to see it in person to understand how powerful they were. They earned their place in the AHD family.

Classes will pause briefly and resume the second week of December. Dr. Rai has a few things happening behind the scenes, including preparing for upcoming qualifications, getting their space ready for what is coming next, and taking some much needed R and R so she can return fully charged.

The AHD community continues to grow, and December is shaping up to open a new chapter for everyone connected to this work.

Cat’s out the bag… AHD has officially launched in Houston 👏🏽

Certified Instructors. Led by a 🖤 woman. On her own land… with A LOT of acres 🥹🔥

Multiple days? Packed. PV students, parents, youth... everybody came to learn, train, and most, to get licensed. The energy? Different.

Houston really moves on its own frequency, and I’m here for it. Big things already in motion… and we’re just getting started 😏

The AHD family continues to grow.

Every class, we see more women stepping into their confidence, learning skills that matter, and realizing they belong on the range just as much as anyone else.

This group is learning how to load magazines with and without a loader... a small step that represents something much bigger. These are the moments that build preparedness.

We don’t rush the process. We teach it, explain it, and make sure every student leaves understanding why each step matters. That’s what sets us apart.

Proud of these ladies and proud of how far At Her Defense has come. We’re not just teaching safety, we’re building a community of strong, capable women who take their protection seriously.
