San Antonio Christian School was honored to partner with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) to host FCA's inaugural San Antonio Power Sports Camp last week!

The camp welcomed students ages 9–12 from across San Antonio and provided opportunities to participate in a variety of sports, including football, volleyball, basketball, baseball, softball, and soccer. Through the event, campers developed athletic skills while also learning lessons about character, leadership, and faith.

A dedicated team of FCA staff members, including several SACS coaches and high school student volunteers, intentionally integrated biblical principles into every aspect of the camp. Through daily devotionals, mentorship, and sport-specific instruction, participants were encouraged to grow in their relationship with Christ while pursuing excellence in athletics.

The camp concluded with a "Golgotha Walk" on Wednesday. During this time of reflection, campers, huddle leaders, and staff members were invited to write down personal burdens, struggles, and concerns. Together, they walked across campus and laid those burdens at the foot of the Cross, accepting Christ's invitation to surrender their cares to Him.

Today we celebrate Juneteenth - a day that honors freedom and the dignity of every person.

As we reflect on our history and look toward a future marked by unity and hope, may we strive to love others as Christ loves us and live out the words of Romans 12:10: "Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves."

May we choose to lead with love, extend honor, and value every individual as one created in the image of God.

During the final week of school, our Junior Class gathered for Junior Retreat, centered on the theme Set Apart.

Through worship, fellowship, and time in God's Word, students were challenged to consider what it means to live differently in a world that constantly pulls them in other directions. They were reminded that God calls His people to be set apart to reflect Christ and serve others.

As they prepare to enter their senior year, the Class of 2027 received a final charge: lead well. Like Joshua leading the Israelites into the Promised Land, they were challenged to lead with faith, humility, and conviction, pointing others to Christ in all they do.

Thank you to the parents, volunteers, and staff who made this week possible. Please join us in praying that the Class of 2027 would be a generation of leaders who are truly set apart and faithful to God's calling.

Summer is in full swing, and Piano Camp is hitting all the right notes!

Students are enjoying a fun-filled musical adventure as they explore directional pre-reading, build a foundation in elementary music theory, and develop piano technique through exciting songs, interactive games, and imaginative activities at the keyboard.

As another incredible school year came to a close, our faculty and staff gathered to celebrate, reflect, and enjoy sweet fellowship together.

From recognizing years of faithful service and honoring retirements to sharing memories and accomplishments from the year, it was a meaningful time to pause and thank God for His unwavering faithfulness to our school community.

We are grateful for the dedicated educators and staff who invest their talents, hearts, and lives into our students each day!

LEGO Summer Camp is in full swing, and our campers are putting their engineering skills to the test!

After exploring balance, symmetry, and structural support during our Amazing Structures challenge, students teamed up to design and build bridges. The excitement peaked during testing as they discovered just how many water bottles their creations could hold!

Transportation Day brought even more creativity as campers designed futuristic vehicles and raced them to see whose car could travel the farthest down the road.

From building and testing to collaborating and problem-solving, our campers are discovering that learning and fun go hand in hand. We can't wait to see what they imagine next!

What a joyful way to celebrate the end of kindergarten!

Our kindergarten students closed out the school year by sharing a special program with their families, singing joyful songs that proclaimed God's truth and reflected what they have been learning throughout the school year.

One of the highlights was hearing them confidently recite their class verse, Mark 12:30-31: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as you love yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”

We are thankful for the ways these young students have grown academically, socially, and spiritually this year. We look forward to seeing how God continues to work in their lives.
