Around ages 3-4, children are becoming increasingly curious about how the world works. They're developing language, beginning to solve more complex problems, building friendships, exploring creativity, and gaining independence.

At Brighton Preschool, our curriculum gives children space to ask questions, experiment, create, and make discoveries through hands-on experiences. And yes, we're ready for all those "whys." 💙

The transition from toddlerhood into preschool brings so many exciting changes.

Children are developing stronger communication skills, becoming more independent, building relationships with classmates, and beginning to express their ideas and preferences in new ways.

At Brighton Preschool, teachers support children through this stage with opportunities to talk, make choices, participate in classroom routines, and explore alongside their peers.

Fall gives young children a whole new world to explore, and we're all about letting their curiosity lead the way. 🍂

A walk outside can turn into a conversation about colors. A collection of leaves can inspire sorting and counting. A new texture can become a sensory discovery.

For young children, the world around them is full of opportunities to wonder, ask questions, and make connections.

When children learn alongside classmates with different strengths, abilities, communication styles, and ways of experiencing the world, everyone has an opportunity to grow.

Inclusive classrooms give children opportunities to practice empathy, communication, cooperation, friendship, and understanding.

At Brighton Preschool, children learn together, play together, and discover that there isn't just one way to communicate, participate, or learn.

And perhaps one of the most important lessons is this: everyone belongs.

Today’s assignment: create a face. 👀👃👄
 
This hands-on activity gave our preschoolers a chance to practice fine motor skills, learn and identify facial features, follow directions, and put their own spin on their creations.
 
The best part? There was no one “right” face. Every kiddo had their own idea of what belonged on the page. And honestly? We think their finished masterpieces are pretty face-tastic. 💙

It's easy to compare milestones, especially when you're surrounded by stories and snapshots of other children.

But every child has their own strengths, interests, and timeline for learning and growing.
At Brighton Preschool, we celebrate progress over perfection and believe that every milestone, no matter how big or small, deserves to be recognized.

In Brighton Center's Infant Classroom, teachers create opportunities for babies to move, explore, interact, and develop at their own pace. From sensory exploration to age-appropriate activities, even the simplest moments are opportunities to support early development.

It may be quicker to do it yourself, but inviting your child to help is worth the extra few minutes.
Whether they're stirring pancake batter, watering plants, matching socks, or helping clean up toys, everyday tasks help children build independence, responsibility, confidence, and fine motor skills.
Children don't just love feeling included, they love knowing they're capable.
