In an emergency, there’s no substitute for hands-on experience.

Through our partnership with ArcLight Academy, UT San Antonio PaCE EMT students go beyond the classroom to practice the skills they’ll need in the field. Through skills labs, simulated emergency scenarios, clinical rotations and field ride-alongs, students have opportunities to apply what they learn in realistic settings and build confidence through experience.

Because becoming an EMT isn’t just about knowing what to do. It’s about being prepared to act when it matters most.

Here’s a chance to step into the creative process and see how a new theater performance comes to life. 🎭

As UTSA Arts welcomes Turnip Ensemble Theater as its inaugural Ensemble-in-Residence, Turnip is inviting the San Antonio community to join them for a FREE Devised Theater Workshop on Sunday, September 13.

During the workshop, you’ll explore how Turnip uses words, stories and movement to create original theater, and even have the chance to bring your own perspectives and experiences into the process.

No theater experience is needed. Just come ready to try something new, collaborate and create!

📅 Sunday, September 13 | 2–4 p.m.
📍 Amy Shelton McNutt Historical Arts Center, 300 Augusta St.

At Professional and Continuing Education (PaCE), we see firsthand how meaningful partnerships create pathways that connect learning with opportunity. Whether through workforce training, professional development, industry-aligned programs, or employer engagement, our work is grounded in preparing learners for success while helping meet the evolving talent needs of our region.

Through collaborations with organizations such as Turner Construction, Munters, and the YMCA of Greater San Antonio, we are helping create workforce pathways that benefit learners, employers, and the communities we serve.

As Melissa Mahan, associate vice provost for academic innovation, notes, "Education opens doors, but partnership creates possibility. PaCE is proud to support UT San Antonio's Classroom to Career vision by connecting learners with opportunities that strengthen our workforce and our community."

We are proud to support UT San Antonio's commitment to a Classroom to Career approach that empowers learners, strengthens workforce pipelines, and advances economic growth across San Antonio and South Texas.

During his conversation on The Cilantro Diaries podcast, Mario Vela, assistant vice provost and executive director of the University Career Center, highlighted the role of employer partnerships, experiential learning, and workforce engagement in helping students translate their education into career opportunities while supporting the talent needs of San Antonio and South Texas.
