Southwest High School

Southwest High School Southwest High School has been serving the southwestern corner of Bexar County for over 50 years. In case of an emergency or immediate danger, please dial 911.

Established in 1951, it has grown from a small rural high school with a graduating class of 11 students to a major 5A high school. Southwest ISD utilizes social media to keep our students, staff, and community informed by sharing important updates, positive news, school closures, and upcoming events. Page administrators oversee the operation and monitoring of district-affiliated social media pages. While public comments are welcomed and encouraged, they must comply with the district’s participation agreement. This agreement is intended to protect the privacy and rights of Southwest ISD students, staff, and community members, not to suppress negative or critical opinions. By posting on this page, you agree not to:

• Post comments that are profane, obscene, offensive, sexually explicit, inappropriate, inflammatory, or otherwise objectionable.
• Threaten, harass, defame, or libel any individual or entity.
• Violate any laws or encourage others to do so, including respecting privacy, intellectual property, and publication rights.
• Share phone numbers, email addresses, or confidential information of others. If you choose to post your own contact information, be aware that it will be publicly visible and subject to misuse.
• Advertise or promote products, services, or events unrelated to Southwest ISD.
• Solicit business, membership, or financial contributions for organizations unaffiliated with Southwest ISD.
• Engage in spam, such as repeatedly posting the same comment or chain letters.
• Allow others to use your account for posting or viewing comments.
• Use multiple identities or another person’s name to comment.
• Engage in political statements, rhetoric, endorsements, or discussions that do not pertain to SWISD initiatives or educational matters.
• Engaging in comments that do not pertain to the original post, including complaints or concerns against others. Southwest ISD reserves the right to:
• Disable public comments.
• Remove or edit comments that violate this agreement.
• Ban users who repeatedly fail to comply with the district’s participation agreement.
• Update this agreement as needed to address new issues, operational changes, or legal updates. All comments and materials posted on Southwest ISD-sponsored social media pages become district property. By participating, users grant Southwest ISD the irrevocable right to display, modify, reproduce, distribute, create derivative works from, and publish submissions. Users also agree to indemnify and hold harmless the district, its employees, and affiliates from any damages, losses, liabilities, judgments, or expenses arising from third-party claims related to content posted on Southwest ISD’s platforms. Southwest High School students may now reserve and personalize individual spaces in the student parking lot. Proceeds from the fundraising effort will be used to support Southwest ISD campus spirit funds. Students participating in the program will be required to follow strict guidelines should they choose to decorate their space. Reserved parking spots will only be respected on school days, from 6:30 am until 4:25 pm.
