Wednesday January 29, 7:30pm, Kindergarten Preview Night at San Anselmo Co-Op Nursery School, 24 Myrtle Lane, San Anselmo.

We will have a moderated panel of CoOp alumni parents from Brookside, Chronos, Heartwood, Hidden Valley, Manor, Marin Primary, Ross Valley Charter, San Domenico, and Wade Thomas. Please let us know if you have any specific questions you'd like the panel to speak about.

We're having a BLOCK PARTY on Myrtle Lane, San Anselmo, Saturday December 7, 2pm-4pm. Come join us for some live music, fun crafts, face painting, cool people, treats and good vibes. Hope to see you there. All welcome. Walking, biking, skating, scooting, carpooling, encouraged. No parking on Myrtle Lane so please plan accordingly.

Hi all. The San Anselmo Co-op will be at the Fairfax Town Picnic this Sunday September 17th. Kids and parents of the co-op will be selling baked goods and lemonade. Afternoon Teacher

Since 1947, San Anselmo Cooperative Nursery School in Marin County California has provided young children and their parents a unique opportunity to learn and grow alongside each other in a playful and meaningful way.

Position:
We are currently seeking a warm, caring, and inspiring aftercare teacher to join our teaching team, part time, Monday through Thursday afternoons, 11:45 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Primary duties and responsibilities:
- 11:45 arrival. Assist at goodbye circle (during morning workers end-of-day meeting)
- Supervise lunchtime, model healthy choices and mealtime etiquette.
- Support children’s personal needs, daily routines, handwashing practices and any transitions.
- Set-up activities and projects that stimulate children’s interest and curiosity.
- Organize movement activities to promote active play and gross motor development.
- Capture moments and document children’s interests, growth and development.
- Establish a safe and positive learning environment
- Model empathy, respect for others, and communication skills.
- Involve children at clean-up time.
- Revisit lunches, read stories and engage children in storytelling to stimulate language skills.
- Provide a comfortable rest time environment with soft music and light stories while children relax and recharge. Help children bag bedding, gather belongings, and prepare for dismissal.
- Divide housekeeping tasks and assist in preparing the school for the next day.

Requirements and Qualifications:
- 18 years of age or high school diploma/GED
- Minimum of 6 Early Childhood Education units
- Current pediatric CPR and First Aid certification
- Experience working with preschool-aged children in a play-based setting
- Ability to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with others
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to connect with children from different backgrounds and developmental levels
- Health clearance including a negative TB Test
- Child Abuse Mandated Reporter Training Certification
- Integrated Pest Management Training Certification
- Livescan fingerprint clearance and background check
· Ability to walk, run, squat, kneel, reach, stand, bend and sit and possibly lift up to 50 lbs

Compensation:
Pay commensurate with education and experience
