Festival Nacional da Arte Capoeira & ABADÁ Brazilian Games 2026

This August, Professora Ciranda and Graduado Querubim will proudly represent ABADÁ-Capoeira Marin at the Festival Nacional da Arte Capoeira & ABADÁ Brazilian Games in Jacobina, Bahia—the hometown of Mestre Camisa, founder of ABADÁ-Capoeira.

For more than 30 years, this festival has brought together Capoeiristas from every region of Brazil and dozens of countries, making it one of the most important gatherings in the ABADÁ-Capoeira calendar.

While Capoeira is at the heart of the event, the festival is also a celebration of the rich cultural heritage of Northeastern Brazil. Throughout the week, participants will experience workshops, lectures, cultural performances, open community activities, artisan fairs, and the exciting ABADÁ Brazilian Games, where athletes from around the world come together to celebrate the art of Capoeira through friendly competition.

This year’s festival is especially historic, featuring the first Baobá Graduation Ceremony, a milestone for our school, as well as the 20th Festival de Cantigas, celebrating the songs and musical traditions that preserve Capoeira’s history and identity.

We are honored to represent Marin County on this international stage and look forward to bringing home new knowledge, fresh inspiration, and even more axé to share with our students and community.
