West Texas Pharmacy Association

West Texas Pharmacy Association WTPA, est. 1921, focuses on scholarships, fellowship and continuing education. The association was organized in 1921 to promote pharmacy in West Texas.

West Texas Pharmacy Association is one of the oldest pharmacy associations in the State of Texas. West Texas pharmacists recognized the need to retain our West Texas students. Many were not returning to West Texas because there was more opportunity for them in larger cities around the state. The association has made its primary goal to offer scholarships to West Texas students that are interested

in pursuing their profession in West Texas. This program has been extremely successful. WTPA works directly with employers and pharmacy schools to create excellent opportunities for these students in West Texas. In addition, WTPA offers a professional, non-political fellowship atmosphere with many opportunities for continuing education for its 500 plus membership.

Did you know that the West Texas Pharmacy Association (WTPA) is one of the oldest pharmacy associations in Texas? For over a century, WTPA has been dedicated to advancing the profession of pharmacy and investing in the next generation of pharmacists.

One of WTPA's primary missions is to support West Texas students pursuing pharmacy careers through scholarships, mentorship, and connections with employers across the region. By helping students build successful careers in West Texas, WTPA continues to strengthen healthcare access and pharmacy practice throughout our communities.

In addition to scholarship opportunities, WTPA provides valuable continuing education, professional networking, and a welcoming fellowship environment for its 500+ members.
