We are considering adding a Financial Literacy Class to help adults build confidence with money and everyday financial decisions.

This class could cover:
• Creating a monthly budget
• Understanding credit and loans
• Saving for emergencies
• Setting financial goals

We will be co-hosting an event at 59 E. 6th street on November 22nd! With it cooling off outside, what a perfect time to help the community. Thank you to Blackshear Heights Family for all that you do and we can’t wait for the event. We hope to see you all here!

Last year we began a citizenship class, meeting every Monday from 6pm-7pm. We help our students complete their applications, study all 100 civics questions for the naturalization test, and helped them become more comfortable with English!

Last month we had our first student, Paula, become naturalized! Thank you Concho Valley Republican Women for providing the medals for the new citizens. It is now one of her most cherished possessions.

Please help us congratulate Paula in becoming a United States Citizen!

Interested in helping others? We need volunteer tutors---for GED/English/computer skills----the WORKS!!!! Each one.....Teaches one!!!!! You decide the days and times and we assist in the partnerships!!!!
