Planning Week at our ESC may be about preparing for the work ahead for our school districts, but days like today remind us that what makes Region 15 special isn’t just the work we do…

It’s the people we get to do it with.

We celebrated three incredible retirees and the years of service, memories, friendships, and impact they have given to Region 15.

And we came together to surround one of our own with a whole lot of love and support, because around here, friends don’t let friends fight cancer alone!

It’s our favorite time of the year… Back-to-School Season!

This week, another amazing group of Region 15 consultants hit the road to Del Rio, joining many of our colleagues who are traveling across the region to provide workshops, training, and support before students return to the classroom.

There is nothing quite like the excitement of a new school year and the fresh ideas, the renewed energy, and the opportunity to make a difference from day one. We are honored to partner with our districts as they prepare for an incredible year ahead!

A special shoutout to Traci Terrill and Robin Graves for representing Region 15 as presenters the Texas Statewide Impact Summit in Austin and sharing their expertise with educators and partners from across the state. We are proud of the impact they continue to make, not just in Region 15, but across Texas!

The summit brought together Education Service Centers and nonprofit partners from across Texas to strengthen collaboration, align resources, and share strategies that help accelerate student success statewide.

We wrapped up our third Region 15 Math Academy cohort, and what an incredible group of educators!

This summer, we had the privilege of serving 80 teachers and campus leaders across three cohorts. Every group demonstrated outstanding engagement, collaboration, and a commitment to strengthening mathematics instruction.

We were also honored to have a Texas Education Agency representative join us this week to gather ideas and feedback that will help strengthen the Texas Mathematics Academy during its pilot year.

Thank you to all of our participants for investing in this learning and for your dedication to student success. We can’t wait to see the impact you’ll make this school year!

Our Head Start Family Reunion BBQ was a success!

We had our head start educators all week!! They are from Brady, Ballinger, Coleman, Winters, and Brownwood Early Head Start!

We did a lot of learning and growing this week…from learning the importance of taking care of ourselves and our families, strengthening teamwork, supporting our young language learners, reviewing policies and procedures, refreshing our knowledge of Conscious Discipline, exploring Ready Bodies and even enjoying a little bowling fun!!

We finished in-service inspired, refreshed and ready for an incredible school year!

NEW TEACHER ALERT! Today we had the BEST time at the SAISD Tailgate welcoming all of the first-year teachers and those who are new to SAISD district!

Our goal was simple, to make sure our new teachers felt the love and support from our community! We loved meeting so many of you, asking fun questions, sharing a few laughs, and letting you know we’re here to support you all year long. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth and played along, you made this video so much fun!

We also had the chance to visit with several community members and share ways they can help support our teachers, including opportunities to bring extra funding and resources into their classrooms.

We are excited to share that today, San Felipe Del Rio CISD district and campus leaders took a strong first step in building a foundation for effective mentoring through Texas Mentorship Training. Together, they are designing systems to help mentors support beginning teachers with purpose and impact.

Yesterday, our Child Nutrition Consultants had the pleasure of presenting Child Nutrition training for the San Angelo Head Start team.
