Very proud of ASU alumni Megan Sorenson on this awesome achievement! Megan was a recognized this evening at the American Meat Science Association Reciprocal Meats Conference banquet for all her hard work while in our undergraduate program. Great job representing the Ram Fam Megan!!

Megan Sorenson grew up on the outskirts of San Antonio in Helotes, TX. She received her undergraduate degree from Angelo State University in San Angelo TX, she is now a 1st year master student at the University of Arizona. Megan's time in college has been heavily involved in meat science as well as AMSA activities. She has dedicated many hours into research, quiz bowl and meat judging as well as expanding her industry knowledge through AMSA STEP events. Currently, she is coaching a quiz bowl team for the University of Arizona and is planning on coaching the first ever meat judging team for the university. After, completing her master degree Megan wants to either pursue her further studies or join into the meat science industry. This award allows her to continuously strive for more opportunities in the field as she works to attain goal she has set for herself. Receiving this award provides support for all efforts that she has completed in her time as an undergraduate. Megan is excited to further extend her knowledge for meat science in the future years!
