San Angelo Early Childhood Center

I am giving up one dream to pursue another. This Friday, I will be joining Angelo State University as an Assistant Professor of Teacher Education. I am so excited for this opportunity but also sad that I will not be seeing each of you and your children every day! I have accepted an offer from the SAECC Board to remain with the Center in an advisory role so I am not leaving for good!

I am thrilled that Tonya Campbell is taking my place as Executive Director. Tonya has worked in Early Childhood Education for 21 years and has experience working in non-profits, head starts, and school districts. She also has experience with the Texas Rising Star program. She will be overseeing all of our programs and operations. Cynthia Resendez will serve as our Center Director. She has many years of experience in Early Childhood Education and has already demonstrated a love for each of the children in our care.

I am confident that Tonya and Cynthia can carry out the mission of the San Angelo Early Childhood Center and will be there to support them along the way.

We have exciting news—as of May 1, all of our teachers will receive Blue Cross/Blue Shield GOLD plans at no cost! They will also receive $25,000 in life insurance and be eligible to purchase dental and vision insurance at a low cost!

BETTER NEWS—we are HIRING experienced teachers! If you are hired BEFORE April 6, we will WAIVE the 60 day waiting period for insurance. We need to open more classrooms, so come on by with your license, social security card, diploma/GED, and CPR card for an interview!

Our tax documents are done! They will be ready for pickup after 12:30 PM. They are only available during business hours 7:30-5:30

Employee W-2's are in the office. You will need to sign for them.

Family Childcare Statements for current and former children will be in the file box outside the door. They are organized by CHILD's last name.

We will NOT have W-2's or Child Care Statements available until January 28. Former employees or families may pick them up then or we will mail them to the LAST address we have on file.

$9-12 per hour
Weekly Pay (direct deposit)

6 hours of PTO a month (may use after 90 days)

A $200 bonus (on first paycheck) for teachers with 1 year of experience, current CPR, and cleared background check
