I apologize for getting this information out a little later than usual. We have been waiting on finalized Homecoming plans from the high school regarding dress-up days, schedules, and parade details before sharing our elementary plans.
We always try to keep our dress-up days as similar as possible across the district while making sure the themes and activities are fun, appropriate, and make sense for our younger Eagles. ๐

A LITTLE CHANGE TO OUR ELEMENTARY HOMECOMING TRADITIONS ๐ฆ
After reflecting on past parades and considering feedback from staff and parents, we're excited to try something a little different this year!
Our ECSE, Kindergarten, 1st Grade, 2nd Grade, and Ms. Fletcher's FLC students will be our Homecoming Cheer Teams, staying on campus to watch the parade, cheer on our Eagles, collect candy, and enjoy all the excitement.
Our 3rdโ5th grade students, along with a handful of select special groups, will have the opportunity to decorate and ride on parade floats.
This decision was made with a lot of thought and one goal in mind: making Homecoming safe, fun, and memorable for EVERY Eagle.
While riding a float is exciting, our students have missed out on actually seeing the paradeโthe fire trucks, Homecoming Court vehicles, sportsโ teams, cheer team, band, and all the fun. This change gives them an opportunity to enjoy the parade from the sidelines while creating something special to look forward to as they get older.
We know change can take a little getting used to, but we truly believe this will give our students the best of both worlds. We're excited to build new traditions, make wonderful memories, and celebrate Homecoming together as one Eagle family. ๐๐ค
