I’ve enjoyed time with family making pies and rolls and memories yesterday. I am looking forward to the afternoon food and people gathering around today.

The first two months of school have flown by!

From fun little interactions in class (when they earn/receive stuff day in their homerooms I’ve been letting them bring them to my class when I pull them).

Beautiful Texas sunset the day before my nephews wedding (how is he old enough to get married?!? How am I old enough to have a nephew that is now married?!?).

I’ve gone to a few students sports game. Hope to make a few more in October.

Also enjoy the school pet - a wonderful incentive for a few of my reluctant learners is to visit and Luna and tell me where’s she is hiding most of the time.

There’s so much more and hopefully I’ll post more but this new position is keeping me busy but I am loving being a Dyselxia teacher.

I decided to head in before contract time this year — not required, just something that helps me feel more grounded with two rooms and a new curriculum to organize. Getting one space ready now means I can focus on the other during inservice and after school without feeling rushed.

Feeling extra thankful for the sweet friends and family who sent a few goodies from my classroom list.
