Helen Keller's teacher, Anne Sullivan, filled her world with great books, rich language, and beautiful ideas. Charlotte Mason understood this same principle: children grow through living ideas, noble thoughts, and beautiful language. At Ambleside Schools, we trust that the books our children read today are shaping the minds, hearts, and imaginations they will carry into the future.

There's something so beautiful in just looking at the sky. The habit of imagining was a delight today. Charlotte Mason talks about learning to "see.” In doing so, the students’ imaginations took over. What a blessing!

What an honor to have Mr. Wes visit with us today. He is a tribal member of the Navajo Nation. His Navajo name is Ayóó yáłtiʼ, which means “talks a lot” in his language.

He shared about Navajo traditions and culture, imparting wisdom of a man with a well-lived life.

He will return for Camp Ambleside to teach kids how to nap arrow heads from chert and flint and share his knowledge of herbs.

We also thank him for his service. Mr. Wes was a Marine “tunnel rat” in the Vietnam War. He did not share this part of his life with us. It is still too painful. God bless our soldiers for the sacrifices they have made on our behalf.
