You are enough πŸ’œ

Do you ever get to the end of the day and start replaying everything?

I should have been more patient.

I should have played more.

I should have listened better.

I should have done more.

I've learned that perfectionism doesn't always sound like "I need to be perfect."

Sometimes it sounds like:

"I could have done more."

And as parents, that voice can be especially loud.

But our children don't need us to get every moment right.

They need a parent who can pause.
A parent who can repair.
A parent who can say, "I'm sorry."
A parent who can come back.

Maybe being a good parent isn't about doing enough every single day.

Maybe it's about trusting that we are enough while we're still learning.

🀍 If you could let go of one parenting expectation today, what would it be?

Milk medicine is about more than nutrition, it carries language, ceremony, and identity from one generation to the next. For Indigenous families reclaiming and honoring these traditions, every feeding is a quiet act of resilience. If this is your journey, know that your community, including your First 5 and local Public Health Department, is here to support the ways you choose to nourish your baby.
