Sharing a behind-the-scenes making video of our fabric painting art installation at our Jan Art Show!

This incredible piece came together with the efforts of 30+ students across age groups, from 6-year-olds to adults and over 100+ hours of painting. 🥰

I’ve condensed the entire journey into a 3-minute video. Hope you enjoy watching it! It’s a beautiful reminder of how we can come together to create something large, meaningful, and impactful.

This piece represents the core theme of our show: women empowerment. It highlights diversity, resilience, and the strong support systems women build, while honoring motherhood, talent, and the many roles women embrace with strength and elegance.

✨ You’re Invited to the VinnisAugust Art Show ✨

Dear friends,
I’m excited to share that our VinnisAugust Art Show is coming up soon, featuring 300+ artworks created by my students ranging from 4-year-olds to adults.

This show is especially meaningful as we are raising funds for two nonprofit organizations close to my heart:
• PGNF’s shelter for battered women in Ongole, India
• Childhaven (King County, WA), which supports young children and families impacted by adversity and trauma. I had the privilege of volunteering at Childhaven and can personally say it is a safe, nurturing space filled with immense love and care.

Several original artworks will be available for sale, with proceeds going directly to support these causes.
✨ The evening will also feature art installations, live music, a couple of dance performances, and much more!

Please join us to celebrate art, community, and compassion through the incredible work of our students. 💛

Finishing up these paintings to sell at upcoming art show on Jan 24, 2026 to support childhaven - a non profit organization to provide support for children in need.

Experimented with this watercolor portrait using my left hand! About 75% was done lefty, though I had to sneak in my right hand a few times to quickly fix mistakes (watercolors aren’t very forgiving ). Used a super fine brush for details, which made it take 3x longer, but I’m so happy with the result!

Since my right hand is exhausted from heavy oils and acrylics, I decided to give it a rest and start training my left hand with watercolors.

Also tried recording the process, which made painting even harder 😄 so some details didn’t make it on video because I needed full focus!

I feel so fortunate to have learned the beautiful dance form of Odissi from the incredibly talented Priyanka Wilkins.

This portrait is inspired by the meditative stillness a performer embraces right before stepping on stage. With her grace, strength, and artistry, she has the power to carry you into another world of rhythm and serenity.

This piece was painted on a wooden board, which gives it a textured, rugged surface you can touch and feel. That rawness brings a certain humility to the work…something that, I hope, reflects the spirit of the dance itself. Through this close-up, I’ve tried to capture a glimpse of that magic!

Making of my latest work - This painting was done in the traditional transparent watercolor style — no white paint, only the white of the paper shining through to create highlights and glow. I built it up with layered washes of color, letting the transparency of watercolor bring the glass, reflections, and liquid to life.
