Mission:
The Creekside PTSA strives to provide our students with the opportunity for safe, fun, and educationally enriching activities by partnering with staff, teachers, parents, and the community and by giving each child a strong voice. Goals:
• Foster a fun and innovative learning environment in coordination with the school that encourages student growth, while embracing grit and perseverance.
• Practice and advocate the Issaquah School District’s Culture of Kindness
• Develop and streamline policies that make the volunteer experience safe and efficient.
• Promote new and leverage existing PTSA membership to better support to staff, teachers and students.
• Stay informed on legislative issues, as well as District, Washington State and National PTA news and develop innovative ways to communicate that information with the general membership. Focus:
Creekside Kindness: Maintain a consistent focus on kindness throughout our student community that goes above and beyond “behaving,” while offering mentorship opportunities for leadership in student kindness. This will be achieved by increasing empathy within the Creekside Community through a Kindness Club (contingent upon reopening) consisting of class ambassadors, chosen from grades 3 through 5.
