👻🎃Here’s a fun idea! You may have seen this before. I used to make these ghosts every Halloween when my kids were younger.

Cut cheesecloth into a 36-inch square. Set aside. Cheesecloth can be found on Amazon, sometimes at the grocery store, dollar store, etc. Blow up a balloon to approximately 2-3 inches in diameter, knot and place on top of the 2-liter bottle. You can also use a golf ball, ball of foil or any other round ball shape. Tape the balloon or ball securely in place with masking tape. Twist and extend wire (a coat hanger works well) from each side of bottle to form arm shapes if desired. If you don’t have wire - these ghosts look just as cute without arms!

Pour 1/2 cup of liquid laundry starch in a bowl in the kitchen sink. Immerse the cheesecloth in the starch, then squeeze out any excess. Open the cheesecloth and drape the center over the balloon/ball and wire. If not using the wire, arrange plastic drinking cups in a circle around the bottle and extend the cheesecloth edges over the cups to create a ghost shape.
Let dry. Use a hot glue gun to add black eyes cut from felt or construction paper.
Ghosts don’t do well outside. The moisture will cause them to not remain stiff. The jug of liquid starch will last pretty much forever, so tuck it away for next year and make these again! Happy Halloween! Photo credit: Pinterest

MUST SHARE!!! 💕 PLEASE VOTE @ the two links below. Just look at these two beautiful works of art, produced by Abby, a wonderfully talented 13 year old artist and former student of mine!!! Abby submitted these two works to an art competition on Minted (my favorite card company)! The theme was “Today In Our World”. The first one is a tribute to Black lives lost. It’s a little hard to see, but “BLM” appears in her hair. The second one is in support of LGBTQ+ community. I am immensely proud to know her and share her incredible work. Kids can do amazing things, can’t they!!??? Please consider voting for one or both!
