Student and Parent Success Stories from 2025-2026!

Science doesn’t have to be intimidating. We use live drawings, deep dives, and small group discussions to ensure no student is left behind. Thank you to our amazing students and parents for these kind words! Now enrolling for the next session.

Why Small-Group Lessons Work Better for Honors & AP Students.

Many parents think 1:1 tutoring is best but small, focused group learning often leads to stronger results.

🔹 Learn deeper, not just faster – Students hear different approaches and truly understand concepts (key for AP exams)

🔹 More active participation – Everyone discusses, solves, and explains—not just listens

🔹 Stronger problem-solving skills – Exposure to multiple ways of thinking builds exam confidence

🔹 Personal attention still matters – I keep groups small, cameras on, and track each student closely

🔹 Builds Independence- In a 1:1, students can become dependent on guidance. In a group, they learn to think for themselves, an extremely essential skill for long-term academic success.

After 12+ years, I’ve consistently seen students achieve excellent grades and AP scores in this format.

Dear Students,
A whole year of hard work comes down to AP exams starting next week.
It’s been an honor being your tutor and watching you grow. We’ve tackled every tough chapter and practice problem together, and now it’s time for the final victory lap. I’ve seen firsthand how much effort you’ve put in, and I couldn't be prouder.
Trust your instincts and stay calm. You know the material inside and out.
All the best for the upcoming tests. You will do great! 🌷

Simple hydrogen bonding + clever design = Real world water solution

Water harvesting sounds cool and somewhat complicated. But when you understand the science behind it, you would realize that it is based on a simple idea, the same Hydrogen bonds that you learn in Chemistry.

Thanks to Omar Yaghi, the pioneer for M*F and COF, who is the winner of 2025 Noble prize in Chemistry.

M*Fs are like the ultimate LEGO set of chemistry: tiny metal nodes connected by organic “linkers” to make a 3D structure. These structures are super porous, like sponges at the molecular level.

Linkers = the bridges connecting metals. You can think of them like covalent bonds holding atoms in a chain.

Metal nodes = the joints where linkers meet. They can interact with water molecules.

Hydrogen bonds = sticky spots. Water molecules stick to M*Fs at night when humidity is high, thanks to hydrogen bonding. During the day, sunlight heats the M*F, breaks some H-bonds, and releases liquid water.

It's been a while since I introduced myself. Here is a little get to know me! 😄

Hi, I’m Akshata! I’ve spent my career in Science—currently as a Regulatory Scientist at Roche, and previously developing vaccines and molecular assays at UW Seattle, Fred Hutch, and FDA. Teaching Science is my passion in my free time, where I bring that real-world experience into routine learning, whether volunteering as a mentor for girls' after school STEM Program at Fred Hutch, or High School Science outreach program at FDA or teaching graduate level classes at community colleges and UW. I bring that same passion in my one-on-one or group lessons for students in High School (Honors, AP, and IB Chemistry & Biology), College Level (Chemistry and Biology, BioChemistry, Genetics, Biotechnology etc.), helping them not just learn science, but think like scientists by developing clarity and confidence.

I use my professional experience to show students that science isn’t just about exams—it’s about curiosity, problem-solving, and real-world impact.

🥼 Biotech hooked me early—I’ve always been fascinated by how science can solve real-world problems and save lives.

✏ Studied at UC San Diego (MS- Reg Affairs), UW (PMP- Biotech), India (MS -Biotech/Biochem)

👩‍🏫 Started tutoring 10 years ago to share my passion for science and help students break complex ideas into simpler, engaging topics.

🏆 Every year, the majority of my students ace their AP exams with a perfect 5—and maintain straight A’s in school. Many of my students decide to pursue science careers fueled by a true passion for the subject.

Students scored really well this year in AP tests and the overall percentage of 5, 4 and 3 scores are constantly increasing from past few years.
This data shows that students are able to improve in content and skill mastery and ace the test.
Super proud of all of my students! You worked hard and you did your best.

It is AP exam score day today and so far the msgs are pouring in with outstandingly good news from my students.

I am beyond proud to share that 97% of my students scored 5 and 4 and the rest have scored a 3
on their AP exams (AP Bio, AP Chem and APES) this year.

It's been an absolute joy to watch each of my student grow in confidence and skill level. These scores are not just a reflection of their intelligence but persistence and resilience.
I hope you are as proud of yourselves as I am of you.

Huge Congratulations to my amazing students! 🥳💐
