It's been a while since I introduced myself. Here is a little get to know me! 😄
Hi, I’m Akshata! I’ve spent my career in Science—currently as a Regulatory Scientist at Roche, and previously developing vaccines and molecular assays at UW Seattle, Fred Hutch, and FDA. Teaching Science is my passion in my free time, where I bring that real-world experience into routine learning, whether volunteering as a mentor for girls' after school STEM Program at Fred Hutch, or High School Science outreach program at FDA or teaching graduate level classes at community colleges and UW. I bring that same passion in my one-on-one or group lessons for students in High School (Honors, AP, and IB Chemistry & Biology), College Level (Chemistry and Biology, BioChemistry, Genetics, Biotechnology etc.), helping them not just learn science, but think like scientists by developing clarity and confidence.
I use my professional experience to show students that science isn’t just about exams—it’s about curiosity, problem-solving, and real-world impact.
🥼 Biotech hooked me early—I’ve always been fascinated by how science can solve real-world problems and save lives.
✏ Studied at UC San Diego (MS- Reg Affairs), UW (PMP- Biotech), India (MS -Biotech/Biochem)
👩🏫 Started tutoring 10 years ago to share my passion for science and help students break complex ideas into simpler, engaging topics.
🏆 Every year, the majority of my students ace their AP exams with a perfect 5—and maintain straight A’s in school. Many of my students decide to pursue science careers fueled by a true passion for the subject.
