We had an exciting day as we wrapped up our unit on **Community Helpers!** 🚑🚓🚒

We are so thankful for our first responders from **Saluda County EMS, the Edgefield County Sheriff's Office, and the Saluda County Fire Service**, who generously gave their time to share with us how they protect and provide safety to our community. We are truly grateful for the important services they provide!

Mrs. Kattie Lee Helwig-Hallman is always so fun in her approach to teaching our little ones. The Emergency/Bummer Game was engaging and helped reinforce what an emergency is and when it is appropriate to call 911.

The children loved the opportunity to sit in the back of Mr. Jeffrey's big "police truck," see all of the equipment on the ambulance, and hear from Mr. Jacob Starnes about how it is used to help people who are hurt. They were also in awe of how high the ladder on the fire truck could go as Brandon Bryan demonstrated it!

I think there are definitely some future paramedics, police officers, and firefighters in this group! 👩‍🚒👮‍♂️🚑

Thank you again to everyone who participated yesterday and represented their departments so well with patience, fun attitudes, and professionalism. We appreciate you helping make learning so much fun for our little ones!

We have settled into our routines and are having so much fun together! We’ve been learning about our feelings and how God created us to have emotions. We’re learning that while all of our feelings are okay, we can learn how to manage and control them.

This week, we focused on community helpers and will continue that unit next week when we have some special guests come visit us. We’re so excited to learn from them and hear about the important jobs they do in our community.

Our students have also learned three Bible verses so far! We believe in the importance of memorizing Scripture and hiding God’s Word in our hearts. ❤️

We are so proud of how much our little ones are learning and growing each day! ❤️

It was a busy week of learning procedures and establishing routines, but we made sure we had plenty of fun, too!! We celebrated Zayn and Praleigh's birthdays.🧁🥳🎉 We ended the week with bubbles (thank you, Miss Christa) and popsicles. PART 2 First Week of School

Counting down the days til summer break! A fun day of inflatables and special snacks. Thanks to Milo's sweet parents and grandparents for providing the inflatables and ice cream! We have the most generous and supportive families.❤️

We enjoyed celebrating our graduates: Aubrey, Laney, Luke, and Remi. We know God has BIG plans for their lives.

We enjoyed watching the process of caterpillars changing into beautiful butterflies over the past few weeks. The highlight was releasing them at Mrs. Wanda's home where they had lots of choices for nectar.

We have had so much fun over the past couple of weeks. It has been very busy with end-of-the-year activities.
The students have learned so much this year. It has been very rewarding to see the growth! We are definitely going to soak up every minute we have together next week.
