What Our Classrooms Are Learning
Our Infant Toddler Room started the school year off by focusing on the book The Very Hungry Caterpillar. They’ve learned about different colors, shapes, patterns, and foods! They’ve done several crafts related to the book and sprinkled in some back-to-school crafts too🐛
Our Toddler Two-Year-Old Room is full steam ahead with first-day-of-school crafts and getting to know their classmates. They’ve learned about apples, school buses, and book bags while also learning about their colors. They’re going strong with potty training, with several kids starting to wear underwear full time🎒
Our Three-Year-Old Room is starting the year by focusing on colors and establishing a love for reading! So far, they’ve learned about the colors red and yellow. They’ve done crafts for both colors and are working toward being able to identify and spell those colors. They’re also talking about different shapes and numbers. Each student got to take home a reading buddy to help encourage reading at home📚
Our 4K Class is learning their routines and procedures, getting to know each other, and becoming familiar with their classroom. They’ve talked about their emotions and appropriate ways to handle them. They’ve been working on their fine and gross motor skills through cutting, drawing, and gluing. They’re also learning how to listen for beginning sounds🏫
