I walk along the quiet halls,
With soft and steady tread,
To rest my chin upon a knee,
Beside a lonely bed.

I do not ask to hear your story,
I listen with my eyes,
And turn the heavy, cloudy day
Into a sunny prize

September is National Service Dog Month

A Gentle Presence, a Healing Touch

While service dogs serve a different quest,
In every month, you prove you're blessed.
You're a therapy dog, a gentle soul,
Making broken hearts feel whole.

You walk the halls where worries hide,
A comforting presence, right by their side.
With wagging tail and soulful gaze,
You brighten up their toughest days.

You don't wear a vest to guide or fetch,
But you offer comfort, an emotional sketch.
A listening ear, a furry friend,
Your loving presence has no end.
You bring a calm, a peaceful space,
A gentle nuzzle, a soft embrace.

In hospitals, in care homes, and in schools,
Your quiet kindness breaks the rules.

So for every moment, soft and sweet,
And every joy you help us meet,
