Cohan looms large in the American canon with tunes like “You’re a Grand Old Flag” and “Give my Regards to Broadway.” In honor of America’s 250th, has organized a lecture recital: George M. Cohen’s Irish American Patriotism on Broadway. The University of Utah Wind Ensemble is performing its final concert on Thursday, April 9th, at 7:30 pm, in Libby Gardner Hall. They will be performing works by Peck, Wagner, Sullivan, Gabrieli, and Shostakovich.
