We are looking to hire a Father Christmas for our Candlelight Christmas at This Is The Place Heritage Park. The dates are: December 7th thru December 23rd except Sundays. Call time is 6:00. If you are available and/or interested please let me know.

The Tinsmith is open during the winter at This Is The Place This Is The Place Heritage Park!!! We move it to the Shaving Parlor during our winter season so that you can warm up and learn all about this rare historic trade while you visit the park.

Good morning! This Is The Place Heritage Park in Salt Lake City has openings for the 2020 summer season, including a blacksmith !

This will be a part part time (16-36 hours weekly) seasonal position from April through October. You will be dressing in Pioneer Clothing (Provided) and interacting with the public, helping to teach Junior Volunteer Apprentices, and producing things for the Park. You will likely also spend some time in other sites such as the wood shop, tinsmith, or gold panning.

This is not a job well suited to supporting a family as we are a non-profit, but we pay better than flipping burgers, and it will give you access to a fully equipped shop to develop and improve your forging skills while getting paid! Ideal for students or retired folks. its the perfect summer job for somebody who has some forging experience and wants to seriously hone their skills and work with other, more experienced smiths.
