Find new letters behind my name. In addition to CIAYT (Certified Yoga Therapist) and CLMA (Certified Laban Movement Analyst), you’ll now see RSME (Registered Somatic Movement Educator) and RSMT (Registered Somatic Movement Therapist) through the International Somatic Movement Education & Therapy Association (ISMETA).
But nothing means more than the interactions I have had with each of the individuals who have walked through the door of the studio, dojo, building and Zoom room, and into the space to do the work (and play) together.
Moving together and through life with you has been the greatest teacher.
Thank you for the gift of your presence.

Athena says, “Thanks for the walk in Mill Creek, mom, even though I had to wear my leash ‘cause it not an odd day.” (IYKYK)

UPDATE: The survey is no longer active. I will post anything else that comes my way regarding this issue! Thank you all.
Rocky the Hedgehog is here for my Utah friends, subverting the algorithm and catching your eye! C’est magnifique! Now, read on, please!
The Utah Network for LGBTQ+ Thriving created a survey in regard to recent legislative decisions affecting LGBTQ+ members of our community, and thus, our community health as a whole.
Link in bio. Fill it out. It takes 10 minutes. Make the effort. Share.
Survey title: “Utah PULSE: Current Attitudes & Well-Being Before & After the Legislative Session”.

Athena and I strolled, slid, stomped and scrambled in both mud and snow, with and without spikes on icy spots, for a 3-hour tour today.
From the house to the trailhead, then down into City Creek (about 4000’ elevation) to the hairpin and along the canyon road to site 8 or 9, across the creek (thankfully low), up, up, up the gas line trail accompanied by deer prints, and onward back up, up to 6500’ before descending to the neighborhood. I love hiking from my house to the sight of the state capitol to the front of the back of the canyon (where sound is muffled and silence nearly exists) and back to the ‘hood. It is so special each time.
In these pics, a few prints in the mud, some lovely watercress popping green, Zach’s (or someone’s) foothills ski tracks, and warm day reset on the balcony.
Happity-happy!

Blustery start to a foothills ramble yesterday, a two-hour tour on snowshoes for me and skis for the Yeti (and paws for the pup), with snowy views, fluffy footprints, deep drifts and wind-scoured ridges.
