Faculty spotlight! Assistant Professor Dr. Jeff Rose was originally a geographer by training, but he found his way into the PRT field through work as an instructor for Outward Bound. His main research interest is unsheltered homelessness in parks and protected areas, but he also has also written about other social and environmental issues. Recently, Dr. Rose was a part of the team that hosted a delegation from China’s new national park system. The partnership between the University of Utah team and the Chinese parks aimed to teach the new park system administrators about resource management and public land policy.
