This Last weekend we also had some of our Kendo group attend the 13th Nito Kendo Seminar being held in Idaho by the Idaho Kendo Club. It was a wonderful event that was last held in 2019. It has been on hold due to the Covid years. So great to have it back, and a Big Thank You to the visiting Sensei's from Japan, Idaho Kendo Club, and Robert Stroud Sensei for holding such a great event.

It's been a while since we posted last. Going to try to change that for 2025 going forward. We had 2 of our Students test and pass 4th Dan in Iaido this last Spring. This last weekend we had a celebration of their success.

Congratulations to Phil Sevin Sensei and Jared Bowler Sensei of ZenBuKan.

This weekend we had our very last practice at our current Dojo Location. ZenBuKan has been renting space from the Red Lotus School of Movement and Urgyen Samten Ling Buddhist temple for a long time. We moved with them back in 2019 from thir old location to our current location of practice on 40 North 8th West.

At this time Ugryen Samten Ling is moving locations and we are not going to be able to follow. So starting in November ZenBuKan has found a new location to practice out of.
Our new location is the Main Gym in the First Baptist Church of Salt Lake City at 777 South 1300 East, Salt Lake City.

While it will be sad to move away from our friends at the Temple, it will be nice to make new friends and build new experiences. I look forward to everyone joining us in the years to come.

Attached are photos from our Last Practice at the old Dojo before we moved to our current practice, as well as photos taken this Last Saturday.

I think Hankins Sensei has less hair now. 😀
