Yes I know the photo is upside down, but wanted to show some of the restoration work I did this weekend. This Byoubu painting was done on silk because it was so brittle. I knew there could be a chance that the piece would break off which it did with the slightest touch. I glued it back into place and it is only noticeable up close. If you would like a scroll made please let me know.

Customer kakejiku painted by Vinh Bui. I love this moon. Love the customers selection....of course it mimicked another scroll I had already made for the Utah Japan Festival / Nihon Matsuri This is a 2 Step style scroll. The Chumawashi (middle cloth) is a shoken (pure silk) and the Ten/Chi is a benberugu cloth. (Mixed silk). If you would like to have a custom scroll made, please contact me at 801-214-4064 or email [email protected]

This painting was done by Vinh Bui. I made the scroll by hand, utilizing colors of Red, White and Blue to honor the United States of America.

Today my wife made Osechi Ryori, which is Japanese traditional New Year dinner. It was a lot of work but very delicious.

I have two photos, one is original and the other is with the background removed. I do not know why background removers used in Canva make one of the jikusaki (bottom end caps) look wonky and distorted (Click to see the whole photo). How can I fix this?
